Medical Managed IT

Medical managed IT, flat monthly rate.

One predictable price per month covers monitoring, helpdesk, on-site visits, patching, backups, security, Microsoft 365, and EMR coordination. The clinic stops thinking about IT day-to-day. We catch the problems before staff sees them.

What Is Included

Everything a clinic needs day-to-day.

A managed plan covers the recurring work. Big projects are scoped and quoted separately so the monthly price stays predictable.

How It Works

Three phases.

1

Audit

We document the clinic's current setup: EMR, servers, workstations, network, backups, security, and Microsoft 365. The output is a written report on what is in place, what is missing, and what the gaps are.

2

Onboarding

We close the priority gaps, install monitoring and security tooling, set up backups, and document everything. This is a defined project with a defined price.

3

Ongoing

Flat monthly rate. Helpdesk, monitoring, patching, backups, security, Microsoft 365, vendor coordination. Predictable, with quarterly reviews and an annual planning conversation.

FAQ

Managed IT questions.

A Medibyte managed plan includes proactive monitoring of servers and workstations, unlimited remote helpdesk for staff, on-site visits as needed, monthly patching, daily backup verification, security tooling (MFA, EDR), Microsoft 365 administration, and vendor coordination with the EMR provider. The price is one monthly amount per device or per user. Projects (server replacements, new clinic builds, EMR migrations) are quoted separately.

Break-fix means the clinic only pays when something breaks. That is fine until something does break, and then the clinic discovers there is no monitoring, no recent backup test, and no relationship with the EMR vendor. Managed means problems are caught early, prevented where possible, and resolved without a surprise invoice each time.

Hardware itself is not included (workstations, servers, network gear). EMR licensing and clinical software subscriptions are billed by the vendor. Major projects, server replacements, clinic builds, multi-day cutovers, are scoped and quoted separately. The point is that day-to-day IT is predictable and the big stuff is planned.

Yes. Managed pricing scales with the number of users and devices. A solo family practice spends less than a multi-physician group. The trade-off is usually positive: predictable monthly spend beats reactive billing when something goes wrong, and the clinic ends up with documented infrastructure rather than accumulated tech debt.
